The Art of Pilgrimage: Vallecitos July 2011

Discovery Point looking over Vallecitos Mountain Ranch

"'What is the purpose of pilgrimage?' asked the teacher. 'I don't know,' responded the student. 'Not knowing is most intimate.' said the teacher."

Most intimate is how I would describe our time together as a group and in the wilds around Vallecitos Mountain Ranch. Deep gratitude for how you all showed up so fully to make our time together so special. I especially appreciated the heartfelt presence from and for those in such potent times of transition. Wishing that we each walk with some gems from our pilgrimage to grow and integrate in our daily lives. Thanks to the Vallecitos staff (Carl, Matt, & Leigh) for providing the support for our pilgrimage.

"Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding
the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated
as birdwinds."
~ Rumi

Body of Wilderness: Esalen July, 2011

Body of Wilderness out in the body of wilderness

What an honor to be with you all and my sister Susan at Esalen in the wilds of the Big Sur. Every year I feel such profound gratitude for each of you that show up so fully, Esalen, Big Creek, the wilds, and the many seen and unseen events that come together to support our experience together in community.

Reminding us all of our "seed" qualities that we are planting & growing in the "Big Workshop" of our lives.
